The start of a new year is filled with new beginnings and plans for the future. Our nation inaugurated a new president, Valentine’ s Day kindles romance and the early days of spring welcome travelers worldwide to the nation’ s capital to witness the spectacular blooming of the famously beautiful cherry blossoms and to attend the festivities associated with this annual tradition.
This issue of # FlyWashington is full of ideas on things to do and places to see around the national capital region, as well as destinations across the country and around the world served by Reagan National and Dulles International Airports. Whatever your destination or travel plans, we know that your journey begins with us, and we are constantly pursuing new ways to make that journey more pleasant, convenient, and memorable.
In fact, a lot of lifetime memories have been made at our Airports. Through the years, Reagan National and Dulles International have been the scenes of several marriage proposals, a few weddings, thousands of honeymoon trips and countless reunions with loved ones. While you might not see a bride and groom promenading through the concourses every day, you will see friends and family exchanging happy and heartfelt greetings at the Airports almost every minute. This issue contains some uniquely touching stories of these events.
And our love of travel, romance, family, and friends extends beyond our airport terminals and the Washington region in this issue, with features on romantic things to see and do in places like Vienna, Austria, and Japan. Travel reunites, relaxes, and creates memorable experiences with loved ones that are cherished well into the future.
To make our Airports easier to navigate for visitors from around the world, the Dulles International Airport website, FlyDulles. com, has added content in five foreign languages, including French, German, Mandarin, Japanese, and Spanish. This multi-lingual information, along with the website’ s wayfinding technology and real-time information on flights and services, is just a few more ways we make your journey through the Airports an increasingly better experience. We hope you enjoy this edition of # FlyWashington, and thank you for choosing Reagan National and Dulles International Airports.
