In the coming year alone , the city will host the 60th edition of Casa Decor , Europe ’ s most exclusive interior design exhibition , from April to May 2025 , as well as several of the world ’ s most prestigious sporting events , including the World Athletics Indoor Tour on February 28 , 2025 , the World Rugby Sevens Series Grand Final and the Zurich Rock ‘ n Roll Running Series Madrid . The city will also roll out the red carpet for the DocumentaMadrid International Documentary Festival , which will return to the city in May 2025 to shine a spotlight on global documentary filmmaking .
Both United Airlines and Iberia Airlines offer nonstop flights from Dulles International to Adolfo Suárez Madrid – Barajas Airport and have expanded their service offerings in 2024 and 2025 . It has never been easier to visit Madrid from Washington D . C .
