A concerned parent finds a caring and attentive employee who helps
both mother and daughter. People like Patrick Kinlan are angels on Earth
A young woman with special needs was traveling alone through Reagan
National. She got confused and missed her flight. The woman was
upset and not sure what to do or where to go. She called her mother in
California to ask for help. Her mother then called the Airport frantically
hoping to find someone who could track her down and help her.
Thankfully, the mother connected with Officer Kenneth Byers of
the MWAA Police Department. After speaking with the mother
and giving her reassurance, Officer Byers went into the terminal
and found the young woman. He chatted with her, provided her
with encouragement, and helped get her settled for her rebooked
flight. He even bought her a sandwich for dinner. He then called the
mother to let her know that her daughter was okay and ready for her
rebooked flight. The mother was incredibly pleased he took the time
to personally see to her daughter’s wellbeing. The daughter continued
her journey.
I am writing to you with tears in my eyes to tell you about the MOST
amazing man ever, Patrick Kinlan.
My best friend, here in Houston, lost her dad in Dallas last night. She
was in Lexington, VA visiting her son at Washington and Lee University.
She left Roanoke that day around noon, and her flight was delayed.
She was minutes awa y from missing her connecting flight from Dulles
International Airport to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
As she was sitting on the shuttle, I called Dulles International Airport
to try to get someone to hold the airplane door so she could make
her connection. Thankfully, I reached Patrick at the Information Desk.
The sweet and kind man called the gate and connected me with a
supervisor who held the door so she could get on that flight. Isn’t that
an amazingly wonderful and special thing to do?!
I believe people like Patrick Kinlan are angels on Earth, and I hope he
is rewarded and praised for his OUTSTANDING efforts today. I am
honored and privileged to write this to you as he is one of a kind!
