the childhood home of Fred

addition, it is the birthplace
of trumpeter Dennis Ferry.
While it was believed for years
that the first professional
football game was played in
Latrobe, the city’s claim was
refused induction into the Hall
of Fame records. Latrobe is
home of the first banana split,
invented in Latrobe by David
Strickler in 1904. Latrobe
is also home to the training
camp of the six time Super
Bowl champion, Pittsburgh
Steelers. In May 2006,
Anheuser-Busch purchased
the Rolling Rock brands, but
not the brewery. In June 2006,
City Brewing Company from
La Crosse, Wisconsin entered
into negotiations to buy the
brewery In September 2006,
City Brewing Company agreed
to purchase the brewery, and
they licensed it to the Boston
Beer Company in April 2007 as
a satellite brewery to produce
Samuel Adams beers. Sam
Adams production did not last
long. The plant is currently
brewing Iron City Beer under
contract. In addition, Duquesne
Bottling Company has brewed
the revived Duquesne Beer,
“The Prince of Pilsners”, at the
Latrobe plant.

renton-Mercer Airport,
Trenton, New Jersey
(IATA: TTN[3], ICAO:
KTTN, FAA LID: TTN) is a
county-owned, joint civil–military, public airport located four
miles northwest of Trenton,
New Jersey. Formerly known
as Mercer County Airport,
the airport serves two scheduled airline (Allegiant Air and
Frontier Air) plus general and
corporate aviation. The US
Department of Transportation
reports that approximately
399,000 passengers departed and 395,000 arrived at the
airport between June 2014 and
May 2015, a total of 794,000
passengers. Trenton–Mercer
is the fourth busiest airport in
New Jersey with an average
of 203 aircraft operations per
day (after Newark’s 1153 per
day, Teterboro’s 434 per day
and Atlantic City’s 205 per day).
The general aviation community is served by the full service
Signature Flight Support FBO
located on the north side of
the field. Trenton is the capital
city of New Jersey as well as
a former capital of the United
States.
the city was preferred by New
England and other northern
states as a permanent capital
for the new country, the southern states ultimately prevailed
in their choice of a location
south of the Mason–Dixon line.
Because of Trenton’s relative
distance to New York City and
Philadelphia, and because
most homes in Mercer County
receive network broadcasts
from both cities, locals are
sharply divided in fan loyalty between both cities. It is
common to find Philadelphia’s
Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, Union
and Flyers fans cheering (and
arguing) right alongside fans
of New York’s Yankees, Mets,
Nets, Knicks, Rangers, Jets,
Red Bulls and Giants or the
New Jersey Devils.
During the American Revolutionary War, the city was the
site of the Battle of Trenton,
George Washington’s first
military victory. On December
26, 1776, Washington and his
army, after crossing the icy Delaware River to Trenton, defeated the Hessian troops garrisoned there. After the war, the
Confederation Congress briefly
met in Trenton in November
and December 1784.[33] While
