CREATE the SCAPE
Amy’s top five tips for setting the
swoon-worthiest of scenes
My design aesthetic is inspired
completely by the natural world;
nothing speaks to me more than a
beautifully overgrown garden or
a windswept wildflower meadow.
ONE
Look for blooms in a warm,
sunset palette (I sourced mine from
Florabundance).
TWO
Search out heirloom citrus at your local
market to create an abundance of fruit like
an old dutch painting.
THREE
Collect a group of taper candles at
different heights and cluster them
asymmetrically for a casual look.
FO U R
Keep your tableware and linens
understated but elegant to let the citrus
be the star of the show.
F I VE
Use at least one votive candle per guest
on the tables for ample glow.
Tabletop Confessions: Aside from sourcing
the most beautiful flowers available, the
most important element on a table is
candlelight. The best parties are the ones
where people linger after the sun sets and
everything is bathed in a beautiful glow, at
that point everything else is secondary to
abundant, romantic lighting.
