The issue ends full circle, as Kristina Heflin’s “The Lonely Altar” encompass the entirety of our theme – these various arcs in a person’s life – in a moving narrative and upbeat tone:
“Don’t you remember the story I just told? Loki is a trickster. He’s mischievous and wily…like some children I know,” she gave Sig a gentle poke in the stomach, eliciting a quiet ripple of giggles. “Only true warriors can earn the right to be worshiped.”
Throughout, the visual art is intended to serve as a counter-point or complement to these moments of recognition in the literary pieces. Each of the moments captured in this issue ignited a fire that left us wanting more. We hope they have a similar effect on you.
Thank you for reading. Enjoy.
Sincerely,
