Conceived and classified
he has always been inferior
Cast out, shut out
a voice ignored
by those who wish
to silence words that cut,
to veil the images that glow too brightly.
Forces of human nature
feel no pain uprooting forests,
established and enjoyed in silence.
Tonight, make angry lanterns
shine on eyes averted
From the rising wave
Steal breath with dissonance
that leaps to fullest height
in incomplete illumination.
Tonight shadows will manifest
and sing their anthems loud
in notes that crackle, pitches that burn.
