Editor Biographies

Collazo, Ivan

Ivan is an English major student based out of California. He was born San Bernardino and raised in Marysville. He is an advocate for education and the arts. He believes the world can be made better through improving access to education. Ivan attributes his love for the arts from his mother and Indigenous P’urhepecha heritage. These people specialized in learning many trades and crafts. He himself enjoys partaking in different passions such as writing, photography, instrumental music, and media design. Some of the writers that inspire Ivan include Ray Bradbury, J. D. Salinger, Tommy Orange, and Gloria E. AnzaldĂșa.

Ferreira, Rodolfo

Rodolfo a.k.a. Rudy is an English major pursuing a degree in Arts and Humanities as well. He enjoys the little things in life like spending time with family and friends. He likes to dabble in all sorts of things trying to become as well-rounded as possible. As a fan of the arts he enjoys a good film(or show), visual art, and of course literature and writing. Music is also very important to him in everyday life because he thinks that we all should have some rhythm in our lives. He feels privileged to have been part of this issue and gaining valuable experience.

McCauley, Katelyn

Katelyn McCauley is a Communication studies major planning to attain a second degree in English. She spends most of her days writing, singing, cooking, or hanging out with friends and family. Long walks by the river or on a sandy beach along the oceanside make her smile. She's always looking toward a brighter and healthier future, ready to take on any obstacles that come her way in life. She's a very easy going, fun and loving person who seeks adventure. Art, music, and writing inspire her. She is honored to have been part of this issue and has learned a lot from this experience.

Wright, Cheyenne

Cheyenne Wright is an English major and tutor. She writes in her free time and has self-published two books in which she explores a fantasy world of her own design. She is a multigenre reader and writer and also a self-proclaimed hoarder of cats, notebooks, and pens. She plans to eventually become an ESL teacher abroad and an editor. She is thankful for the experience she has gained while working on Flumes and hopes to make use of it outside of the classroom in the future.
