Contributor Biographies

Armstrong, Leslie-

I have audited the biannual Creative Writing Program at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, for the past eight years. I’ve also studied with Jocelyn Gibson, John Hawkes, and Sara Pritchard. I have published two books: The Little House, Collier MacMillan Publishing Company, First Edition (1979); and Space For Dance: An Architectural Design Guide, with Roger Morgan (1984). My work is forthcoming in Poydras Review and Slippery Elm. I graduated with Honors in Art History from Brown University and obtained a master’s degree in architecture from the Columbia School of Architecture. I enjoy classical music and theater, and continue to work as an architect and as a writer.

Beaumier, Gary-

In his later years Gary Beaumier has become something of a beachcomber and has self-diagnosed with “compulsive walking disorder.” On a number of occasions he has cobbled together wooden sailboats.

He is a finalist and semi finalist for the Luminaire Award for several of his poems and a finalist for the Joy Bale Boone award and was nominated for Best of the Net Award for his poem Rio Grande. His work has appeared in numerous other publications.

His chapbook “From My Family to Yours” has been accepted by Finishing Line Press.

He taught poetry in a women’s prison.

Bolf, Samantha-

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2018, with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy, and honors in Creative Writing. I interned for the literary journal, Bat City Review, during the 2017-2018 academic year; as the Nonfiction Intern, I was involved with reading, selecting, and editing creative nonfiction submissions for publication.

Crane, Carolyn M.-

I am a produced playwright, published poet, essayist, memoirist, and English professor in northern California. "Passport" is from my memoir in progress called The Dog Days of Cancer.
