L. J. Lewis is an emerging writer and poet from St. Catharines, Ontario.

Although he has limited formal training in literature, he has vehemently pursued a career in writing while working at various low-level manufacturing jobs across his native Ontario to support himself.

For many years he has also relied on government assistance, has struggled with addiction and mental health issues, and is no stranger to the seedy world of living in poverty in the Canadian context.

The themes of his work commonly include poverty, addiction, social alienation, issues surrounding mental health, relationships and the search for light in times of darkness.
