Seasons
By Deborah LaFelle
buds burst
leaves unfurl
apple blossoms’
aroma –
sweet smelling
bouquet
intense
midday heat
field laborers
pick tomatoes
for our
dinner salads
whirling
wind drift
yellow leaves
dance gracefully
into large
tree hollow
glistening
snowflakes
fall gently
onto pavement
melt
to polka dots
