to a forever home, and this is
great news! Unfortunately, for now, this
is just in America.
A recent law change in San Francisco has banned
the sale of non-rescue dogs and cats! As well as
this, pet shops are also no longer allowed to sell pup-
pies under eight weeks old. These laws will help to
stop the abuse of animals being mistreated.
This is fantastic news because it means that less dogs
are being put into shelters and more are being adopted.
A study carried out by Michigan State University College
of Veterinary Medicine found that the numbers of dogs
in shelters across of America had gone down dramati-
cally and was at an all-time low!
FLUFF Magazine are so glad about this recent
change as we hate animal cruelty and we want
every pet to have a happy home.

Bark Off is back for its fourth event
on Sunday the 14th May, in aid of London
based dog charity, All dogs Matter.
The first Great Hampstead Bark Off took place in 2014 and
was a success, this year it hopes to be even more marvellous
than previous years. Rowena from the charity said: “At pre-
vious events we have raised between £1000-1500 on the day
so this year we are hoping for it to be bigger and better than
ever!”
The Great Hampstead Bark Off will be at Parliament Hill in
Hampstead Heath and costs £5 to attend. It’s is a jam-
packed day full of awesome things to do, all for a great
cause so put it in your diaries and enjoy a day that
everyone will go mutts for!

The day sees dog themed cakes or doggy dishes going
head to head in a bake off. Poodle cupcakes and bone
shaped dog treats are just few of the bakes you might see
at the great Hampstead bark off! Last year the event saw
dog-friendly cookies, bones and even sushi!
