Tips to Plan a Memorable Vacation
It’ s no surprise that St. Augustine reminds many visitors of Spain. Founded by the Spanish in 1565, the nation’ s oldest city has Old World charm— from its iconic fort on the bay to its historic bricklined streets. Farther up the coast in Ponte Vedra Beach, pristine coastline and beaches look much as they did when Ponce de León first laid eyes on the area more than 500 years ago. Welcome to Florida’ s Historic Coast.
WHERE TO STAY
Florida’ s Historic Coast has a wide range of accommodations at varying price points. There are hotels with suites and condos for large families or groups during extended stays. Some of the most familiar hotels are just steps from the shore, and boutique hotels cater to people looking for a unique overnight experience.
Bed-and-breakfast inns are a great choice for couples or small parties interested in an intimate stay. Innkeepers serve as the most experienced guides and can point you in the right direction for activities and attractions.
Resorts in Ponte Vedra Beach have everything you need in one place with restaurants, spas, outdoor activities and rooms with stunning beach views to accommodate couples and families.
