In 1883 , Franklin W . Smith built his winter home utilizing architectural details from the Alhambra Palace in Granada , Spain . In addition to the Moorish Revival Architecture of the building , the Museum showcases an incredible 98 % original art and antique collection featuring beautiful arabesque traceries on the walls as well as an ancient Egyptian rug over 2400 years old . State-of-the-art audio guided tours are available in English , Spanish and French . Free parking while visiting the museum .
