Pena Peck House ( The Woman ’ s Exchange )

The first occupant was Spanish Royal Treasurer Juan Esteban de Pena , and later , it was the last official seat of the British government in 1785 , in what is now the United States . The Peck family and their descendants were the last to occupy the house and did so for nearly a century from 1837 to 1931 . Since 1932 , The Woman ’ s Exchange , founded in St . Augustine in 1892 , manages the Pena Peck House and also offers guided tours and operates a gift shop , where you can purchase American handcrafted and specialty gift items .
