September 15 International Coastal Cleanup Day The GTM Research Reserve hosts International Coastal Cleanup Day. The first muster occurred on this date 450 years ago in the newly established pueblo of San Agustin de la Florida (present-day St. Augustine). This free event takes place at 9 a.m. at the Florida National Guard Headquarters, St. Francis Barracks, 82 Marine St., St. Augustine. 877-352-4478 September 16 Maritime Heritage Foundation Gathering The St. Augustine Maritime Heritage Foundation hosts a Gathering at the St. Augustine Yacht Club. The doors open at 5 p.m. with Yacht Club menu items available for purchase. A guest speaker will make a presentation related to St. Augustine’s rich maritime history.
