Celebrate 450!: First Muster
As part of its commemoration of St. Augustine’s 450th Anniversary,
Florida Living History recreates the first mustering of America’s
citizen soldiers - an event that marks the birthday of Florida’s
National Guard. The first muster occurred on this date 450 years
ago in the newly established pueblo of San Agustin de la Florida
(present-day St. Augustine). This free event takes place at 9 a.m.
at the Florida National Guard Headquarters, St. Francis Barracks,

Maritime Heritage Foundation Gathering
The St. Augustine Maritime Heritage Foundation hosts a
Gathering at the St. Augustine Yacht Club. The doors open at
5 p.m. with Yacht Club menu items available for purchase.
A guest speaker will make a presentation related to St. Augustine’s
rich maritime history. The event is open to the public and

Spanish Artists Group Exhibition
In honor of St. Augustine’s 450th Anniversary, this new exhibit
featuring a collection of works created by some of Spain’s most
well-known living artists opens at 10:30 a.m. at the Brilliance in
Color Gallery. It includes works by Ramon Vilanova, Royo, Joseph
Domenech and others. Admission is free. Gallery hours are
Sun. - Thurs. 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Fri. and Sat. 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
