6th Annual Fiesta de Aviles
Celebrate St. Augustine’s Old Town Spanish heritage and art on
Aviles Street -- the oldest street in the nation. The Fiesta features
live music, costumes, art exhibits and a special running of the
“bulls” along Aviles Street on Saturday. The next day is Sangria
Sunday featuring a sangria competition with the public voting for
their favorites. Activities are from 4 - 10 p.m. Admission is free. For

CELEBRATE 450! : Spanish Music and Dance Performance
EMMA Concert Association presents an evening of entertainment
showcasing St. Augustine’s Spanish heritage. Held at the
St. Augustine Amphitheatre, this spectacular performance of the
very best in Spanish music and dance provides an exciting and
memorable celebration of the city’s 450th Birthday. Admission is
free. From 4 - 5:30 p.m., the St. Augustine Orchestra, St. Augustine
Community Chorus, First Coast Opera and Limelight Theatre
combine their talents to present their tribute to Spanish music
and dance. From 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m., the St. Augustine Textile Guild,
heritage (re-enactors) organizations and representatives from the
Castillo and St. George St. Players present a lively look at the past
on the grounds of the Amphitheatre. The Art Association also
provides hands-on activities and demonstrations geared toward
family involvement. At 7 p.m., the Ensemble Espanol performs all
styles of Spanish dance - Flamenco, classical Estilizatión, Folklore,
