Saddle up and head over to the St. Johns County
Fairgrounds for monthly barrel, pole and other timed speed
horse events at 5 p.m. Admission is free for spectators.

Guided Exploration Hike of the GTM Research Reserve
On the first Saturday of every month from 9-11 a.m.,
visitors can learn about the cultural history of the Guana
Peninsula as well as the natural biodiversity during a guided
hike. Meet at the GTM Research Reserve’s Trailhead
Pavilion located west of the Guana Dam. Wear comfortable
closed toe shoes. There is a $3 per vehicle parking fee.

Second Saturday
Family Seining at the GTM Research Reserve
Join docents from 9-11 a.m. to learn how to pull a seine
net at the GTM Research Reserve. Participants will collect
fish and crabs as well as learn about their habitats and role
in the environment. Waders and boots are provided. The
program is included with regular admission to the reserve
and takes place in the Environmental Education Center.
