Founding of Fort Mose
Fort Mose, founded by Spanish Florida Governor Manuel de Montiano in 1738,
was the first legally sanctioned free Black community in the continental United
States. This event begins with a reading of the governor’s proclamation that
provided freedom to Captain Francisco Menendez and his militia men and
established Fort Mose. Then, the site will be blessed by Franciscan Friar Don
Joseph de Leon. The free event is from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 15 Fort Mose Trail,

Gamble Rogers Music Festival Concert
The Gamble Rogers Music Festival hosts this concert featuring national
champion guitarist Richard Smith at the Whitney Laboratory Lohman Auditorium.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the music begins at 7 p.m. Light refreshments and
merchandise will be available. Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 in advance.

St. Augustine Amphitheatre
Back by popular demand, Strut Productions and BPE Productions present
1964: The Tribute The Best Beatles Tribute on Earth live at the St. Augustine
Amphitheatre. Experience a Beatles’ concert the way it was performed more
than 50 years ago. 1964: The Tribute focuses on the quintessential moment in
history when The Beatles actually played before a live audience. Doors open at
6:30 p.m., and the performance is at 8 p.m. Admission is $54.50 and $44.50.

St. Augustine Beach Art and Craft Festival
The St. Augustine Art and Craft Festival features some of the nation’s best artists and
crafters and offers jewelry, ceramics, stained glass, photography, handmade soaps
and much more. All items are made in the USA. The event is Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the St. Johns County Pier Park. Admission is free.

Spring 2018 St. Augustine Record Fair
The St. Augustine Record Fair will be held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
The fair is a free, family friendly event and is open to the public. Music lovers and
collectors are invited to shop thousands of music-related items, including new and
used vinyl records, CDs, posters, turntable equipment and supplies, memorabilia,
collectibles and more. There will also be fun activities for the entire family.

137th Annual St. Ambrose Spring Fair
The entire family will enjoy this spring festival from noon-4 p.m. featuring live
music by local entertainers, great food, including Minorcan clam chowder and
