February 6 Usdin Judeo-Christian Lecture Series – Charles Gallagher This lecture, hosted by Flagler College, features guest speaker Charles Gallagher. He came to Boston College from the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations in 2010, where he was a visiting fellow, teaching undergraduate and doctoral courses on religion and international relations. In 2008, he published Vatican Secret Diplomacy: Joseph P. Hurley and Pope Pius XII, which won the John Gilmary Shea Prize from the American Catholic Historical Association. February 9 Ideas & Images at Flagler College- Preserving our Built Heritage in the 21st Century The guest speaker, Brian Goeken, has more than 25 years experience in historic preservation, urban planning, architecture, economic development and urban design. His talk is titled Preserving Our Built Heritage in the 21st Century: Addressing Contemporary Challenges. He has worked to ensure Historic Landmark protection for Chicago’ s Wrigley Field. He is currently the chief of the National Park Service’ s Technical Preservation Services Office, overseeing this community revitalization program. February 9 Flagler College Writers-in-Residence- Marvin Dunn This free event hosted by Flagler College features Dr. Marvin Dunn. He will talk about his new book, A History of Florida: Through Black Eyes. Dunn taught for 34 years in the Department of Psychology at Florida International University. He has written multiple books and directed three documentaries.
