November 1-22 Sound : An Exhibition of Sound Art at Crisp-Ellert Art Museum Seventeen artists from around the world elevate the sensory medium of sound to an art form as part of this exhibition at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum . The artists use sound in diverse ways , from manipulating field recordings and found sound , to creating sound through data-based , analogue to digital means , to using the environment or architecture to create sound sculptures . The conference , held at Flagler College , brings together writers , editors , agents , publishers , book sellers , grant administrators , directors of writers ’ colonies and retreats , and other interested people in one place . November 4-6 St . Augustine Pirate Gathering The St . Augustine Pirate Gathering is coordinated by the Ancient City Privateers and features a pirate mutiny , weapons demonstrations , sailor ’ s encampment , Thieves Market , stories of the high seas , shanties and a wee matey ’ s play area . All pirates welcome , so come ashore dressed in your best piratical pirattitude and enjoy a weekend of fun .
