July 4 Fireworks over the Matanzas Enjoy a Fourth of July concert and fireworks in St . Augustine . The All Star Orchestra performs at 6 p . m . in the Plaza de la Constitución , At 9:30 p . m ., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast bursts above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of the Matanzas Bay . Admission is free ; the best vantage points are along the bayfront between the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions . Parking is available in the City parking garage and other locations with free shuttles provided .
