In 2013, nature and wildlife photographer, Lewis Kemper moved nearby the American River in Sacramento, CA. He immediately began photographing and documenting his explorations of the river by his home.“ My Stretch of the River: A Photographers Journal” contains over 300 images of the scenery and wildlife he encountered over a one year period, narrated with journal entries about his experiences. Come along on this multimedia adventure of still and video images captured from the land, the water and air. Explore this urban wilderness and learn how the healing power of nature can make a difference in your life. See river otters, Great Blue Herons, American mink, Green Herons, Canada Geese, mule deer, Egrets and more as Lewis shares his yearlong adventure with you!

After 13 years at Photo Fest, Kevin is retiring as a regular instructor. Come and experience the special people, birds, wildlife and experiences that Kevin recalls in this multi-media thank you. It is not going to be an easy goodbye, as Kevin has enjoyed so many wonderful people and moments during his time here, with love as the common thread throughout.
