Portraits with Flash : Instruction and Demo | Photography Seminar

People : 30 | Difficulty Level : Beginner to Advanced This class is a step-by-step guide on how to use speed lights , or portable flash , to make an effective portrait , both in the studio and on location . Using flash is tricky , but the settings and exposure techniques are fully explained and demonstrated . The students learn how to make beautiful fill flash , how to use one light on camera for easy and simple portraits and how to use one off camera with radio remotes for more control with the direction of light . The participants will have hands-on experience working with the lights and various modifiers . Bobbi demos techniques while tethered to the computer .
Participants should have good camera skills and at least one flash that can be used TTL . No lighting experience is necessary . Suggested Gear List : Medium telephoto lens ( 85mm or longer for full frame , 60mm or longer for crop frame ), portable flash , any light modifiers and bring your manual !
