Jackie resides primarily in Anchorage, Alaska, although she was born and raised
in Florida and has plans to return one day soon. She began painting flowers and
birds as a child and took on a camera when she turned 16. Though her work has
expanded over the years to include weddings and portraits, Jackie has remained
an avid floral photographer. Jackie teaches group and individual workshops
and currently maintains a Facebook group, Phlorography – Artistic Floral Images,
with members from around the world. The historic places of worship in St.
Augustine hold a special place in her heart and to that end, she has completed
a photo-journey through them and has published a guide and walking tour
called Sacred St. Augustine. Her approach to creating artistic floral images
merges art & photography to embody the unique character of the flower(s).
