Jayanth Sharma is a pioneering wildlife photographer, photography mentor and entrepreneur from Bangalore, India. Effortlessly combining natural history and fine-art elements, Jayanth has built a dazzling portfolio of stunning vignettes from the little-visited domains of the natural world. Behind Jayanth’s awe-inspiring work are a fierce commitment to making evocative compositions, an assiduous abstinence from digital manipulation, and a devotional love for quality. Jayanth believes in the power of photography as a communication tool and a way of influencing positive change to conserve the world’s invaluable biodiversity. Jayanth’s unending thirst to explore the remote corners of the planet has taken him to a truly eclectic range of wilderness areas in six of the planet’s continents - from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia to the frigid waters of the Arctic, from the endless plains of East Africa to the mysterious mangroves of South America, and from the geologically active Far-east Russia to the unforgiving Antarctica, in conjunction with his forays in the Indian subcontinent - to the mighty Himalayas, the enigmatic Northeast, the secretive South and the tiger havens of Madhya Pradesh. Jayanth’s work has graced several magazine covers and prestigious book publications, besides winning honours at the Sanctuary Asia and the Global Arctic Awards.
