What part of that sexy body are you the most proud of?

I have to say that I recently had a conversation about this. I honestly can’t pick one thing because I am really very proud of my body comprehensively. It has taken a long time to embrace myself given all of the outside pressures that exist about body confidence and what the media tells us as women we “should” be. I am proud of the fact that I am strong and fit at my age, considering we live in a culture that overvalues youth and if you are over the age of 30 you are an afterthought. I love all my lines and curves.

Tell us one unusual or unique thing about yourself that others may not know.

When I was a kid I was part of a living history apprentice program every summer instead of going to regular camp. I loved it! I got to dress up in nineteenth century clothing and learn skills and trades of the time. I know how to weave baskets, make butter, embroider and sew by hand. I spent so much time there volunteering during the school year that by High School I had made my own dress to wear.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?

Hmmm, I guess I’d have to say snowboarding down from the top of the bowl at Whistler Mountain in Vancouver. What an incredibly breathtaking experience that was.

What turns you on in a man?

Intelligence is a huge turn on. I wrote a poem once and one of the lines says: “seduce my mind and my body will surely follow”. That remains true. Intelligence breeds a certain kind of confidence that is really sexy.

What would be the ideal first date?

In the realm of not worrying about weather or season, a perfect plan would be a picnic at sunset on the beach with some delicious food and good wine. I am not one for grandiose gestures, especially on first dates. I tend to think they are over the top and not always genuine, it becomes more about showing off and creating an illusion than getting to know a person. So, ideally a first date should be about two people connecting in a meaningful way, over a meal, sharing conversation, being real.

What is your main turn-off about a man?

Oooh! Bad grammar?? Seriously, it’s a tossup between ignorance and cockiness. I have no patience for small minded, judgmental men and I really can’t stand anyone who thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Humility and confidence go a long way in my book.

What is it about you that men go crazy over?

Can we ask some men? Ha! This is a tough one for me to answer. From a purely physical standpoint, I have been told I have great legs, beautiful eyes, and a fabulous butt. So I’d say those are things that men who don’t know me go crazy over. Those that get to know me on a deeper level find my intelligence, big heart and sense of humor, along with my face and body, pretty hot.
