On the day the company's IPO received final approval from the SEC, Lingerie Fighting Championships Inc. (OTCQB:BOTY) saw their online popularity soar, receiving more than 800,000 views on YouTub.
CEO Shaun Donnelly has always credited social media with LFC's rapid rise in popularity. They became one of the most popular MMA sites on FaceBook within days of posting their page enroute to more than 60,000 fans currently. Cable systems took notice and the league was soon putting up outstanding VOD buys on an ever-growing list of cable systems.
LFC's most recent event, Lingerie Fighting Championships 20: A Midsummer Night's Dream was the first to be broadcast live. It took place August 8 from the 4000 seat The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. It was carried by virtually every major cable and satellite system including AT&T, Bell, CableVision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, DirecTV, Dish, Rogers, Shaw, TimeWarner and Verizon.
"It's been very gratifying to see this crazy idea I had be embraced by so many fans," Donnelly says. "We still have a lot of room to grow but I'm very happy with the direction we're heading and very excited for the future."
