NINA MARIE

'WOMEN CAN BE SEXY AND CLASSY...'

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH FLORIDA MAGAZINE'S CEO

Hello Nina, it is a pleasure to have you with us today. Our first question of this interview is what inspired you to become a music artist? I was inspired to become a music artist one day when I was about 12 years old. I am a 80's baby so I grew up listening to Madonna. Her voice is like an angel to me and the beats filled my soul with warmth. Immediately I fell in love with music. At about 15 years old I began writing poems. At 18, I recorded my 1st song in a professional recording studio. From that point I continued to write and make tracksm and also started performing all over Florida.

Great.. How would you describe your sound? I would describe my sound as different. I am very unique compared to other female music artists. I try to be a positive role model for women. I don't cuss or talk sexual. I feel I have an up North swag with a down South flow.

Interesting! Do you have any upcoming projects we can look forward to? Yes, I have a few new songs I'm working on now. Stay tuned..

Cant wait! In the meantime, where can your fans find out about you and your music? My fans can visit my music website, which has been voted #1 female in Florida on the music charts at ReverbNation.com/LaNina. For daily info, everyone can follow me on Twitter & IG @iAmLaNina.

Wow, congrats, that's amazing your music is voted #1! Now we know how you got the nickname "Queen of Florida" & "Ms. Florida". So, what challenges have you faced as a female music artist? I have faced numerous challenges as a female music artist. Like I said before, I try to be a positive role model for women. Nowadays in most music, females are disrespected and degraded. Therefore, I don't cuss or talk sexual. I try to show a positive influence for all women. I believe women can still be sexy and have sex appeal but in a classy manner.

That's very admirable. If you could choose one music artist to collaborate with, who would it be? If I had the chance to work with one music artist it would be Madonna. But if Elvis was still alive, it would be him. I love both these artists. Music wise they're both very inspiring to me.

Great choices. When you're not making music, what are some of your favorite hobbies? When I'm not enjoying the comfort of writing and recording music, the first thing and only thing I really enjoy the most is spending quality time with my son... taking him to do adventures and travel the world. Just him and I making wonderful memories. Some other hobbies of mine are cooking. I love to cook. I also enjoy sports, swimming
