My goals on stage connect to my life in so many ways. It gives me confidence I never thought I would ever have. It makes me a stronger person mentally.
I try and eat 6 times a day and I eat some kind of protein at every meal but when it comes to training for comp my carbs and caloric intake is way lower then when I'm not getting stage ready.
I try and get in a work out at least 5 days a week, if I can get in the 6th and or 7th day I will. I try and do at least an hour a day but if I can get more in I will.
My favorite body part to train is definitley the booty, lol. Loving my arms and legs are getting there but I've always loved my booty.
Since my fitness journey started I've had lots of comments and looks from men and women but the funniest thing that happened was, I
was at work one day and a customer looked at my arms and asked if I worked out. Of coarse my answer was yes, so then he joked with me and asked to arm wrestle me, then changed his mind cause he said I might beat him.
I didn't use a coach or nutritionist. I did get some great advice and help from friends that are trainers and also do comps. I did join a challenge group for 3 months, which gave me great food and workout ideas. The only real coaching I got was I did take 2 posing classes, which helped emencly.
My favorite thing to do when I'm not competeing is just hanging at home with my hubby and my black lab. We also have 2 grandsons that we try to visit as often as possible.
