Please share something of your background and how it relates to your current interest in fitness and modeling.
I was always a cardio queen and did cardio kickboxing for years with little to no results. I started training for my blackbelt in mixed martial arts and saw a little difference but it's not until my
boyfriend James Hurst convinced me to weight train that I really noticed the changes. He talked about competing and I wanted to look like I competed. After putting in the work I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did because I absolutely love this sport.
Share with us a bit about your contest history and most memorable show experience.
My first show was the NPC San Francisco in Oct of 2012. I had no expectations and hoped that I placed top five at most. I placed 1st in Masters 35+ and won Overall in Masters. I placed 3rd in Open A and was shocked. I was competing against ladies so much younger than I was and it made me feel really good. From then I was completely hooked.
