The first person that fell victim to this disease was the tribe leader, the tribe leader started to cough out sand but it was unnoticeable to the tribe because they lived in the desert. The tribe leader would start to tell them that something was very wrong but the tribe thought that he’d gone crazy and ignored his cries. A few days later the tribe leader died without any warning but the tribe still didn’t bat an eye. The sickness would start to infect people very slowly, the infected didn’t want to draw attention to themselves because they didn’t want to earn the label of “crazy.”

The third sight that Akai showed me was a cemetery. There are many graves there that have no names on the stones, and some graves had more than one body in. No one knew who these people were or what caused them to die, it was a mystery. But the real story was that there were a mysterious tribe that lived in the middle of the desert. They were a strange tribe that performed some very questionable rituals. One day a very peculiar sickness fell upon the tribe; a sickness that spread like a wildfire. This sickness only had the one symptom; sand would start to splutter out of the infected individual’s mouth, their lungs were turning into sand. When this symptom showed this person could die within hours, days or even weeks; no one knew when death would strike.
