FTFF News, events, and Tube tips

AS most of you know our news currently is the evolution of a new add on to the FTFF.  We have opened a new site.  The Float Tube Fishing Patreon.  The Patreon site is a subscription page that allows members to view videos we put out with information about our sport.  Gold members will receive special offers from companies like Fish Finder Mounts, Big Hammer, and 2nd Helping Lures.  They will also receive access to a new Private forum section and influence as to where the site will go from here.

This is a great opportunity for the Forum to build up something new and exciting.  As well as cast a wider net to bring new members and build a stronger community.  It has been my pleasure to share all this with everyone for years and I plan to continue to build our sites for everyone's benefit.  If you see the value in what we do consider joining the new Float Tube Fishing Patreon.

Tenkara rods.  I bring this up because one I have just found it and 2 they are so compact it fits perfectly on to the float tube.  The Tenkara fishing sport is an ancient Japanese way of fishing.  It is now a telescoping rod from 6 feet to 12 feet.  It has no eyelets, no reel and non traditional line.  The Tenkara fly line is attached to the Lilian at the very tip of the rod and the leader then tied to that.

From there it is a simple back and

forth cast to lay your offering out on the water just a few feet in front of you.  This is a great way to fish and I am experimenting with it on my float tube. Maybe you can as well.
