Repairing Your

Bladderless Tubes

I always thought that this would be easier then the old canvas covered tubes, and it is. But there are a few things you need to know. Below are a few steps to consider.

Step #1 Find the leak use a water and soap

mixture (whihc is basic there are other options

as well). Once located be sure to mark it.

Step #2 Deflate the tube completely and then

clean the area with isopropyl alcohol. Next be

sure to dry completely before you begin the

repair with a patch.

Step #3 Prepare a patch from the repair kit

provided when you baught the boat. Use the

glue that was included as well. You will need

2 to 3 coatings on the patch and the tube to

make strong bond.

Step #4 Now place the patch over the spot

that needs the repair. This will be glued side

to glued side. Be sure to press and hold

inplace for a few seconds. You can also

workout any bubbles that might have formed

when placeing the patch.

Step #5 Now wipe off any excess glue around

the patch with a cloth or wet paper towel. The

patch will be completely glued and ready to

re-inflate in 24 hours.

Follow these simple steps to make a quick and easy repair of your bladderless float tube.
