One of the things I liked best about float tube fishing is the DIY Possibilities are endless. One of the most common DIY projects for new and old float tubers is rod racks. Many people have built commercial rod racks that worked well but just never seem to cover all needs or just don't last and go out of business.

Here is why I promote building your own. With the use of PVC, and some strapping material you are in business. You can built your own style for your personal needs. And in the end if it is not what you wanted, you did not spend much, just redo it. Most of us have done this and I am curremtly working on one now. But if you have not done so yet I encourage you to try DIY'ing your own soon. You never know you might build something that we never thought of before.
