3. Black Ghost - the Black, Yellow, and

Whote color combination created

by Herb Welch, is none as the black

ghost.  It’s one of the last streamers

of the Maine Fly-tires that were tied

shortly after WWII.   This old

streamer is great for big trout and

the occasional big brown trout.  Tied

from 2/0 down to a size 6 it is a

trout killer.

4. Zonker - Yes it's an odd Name

Zonker, but once on your line you

can see it will work.  This fly will

work both in freshwater and

saltwater.  With it’s lead foil

underbody adding some weight the fly will run deep.  It’s the rabbit fur tail that attracts the fish for a closer look and taste.

5. Elk Hair Caddis - As a Dry Fly this

is the must have Dry Fly pattern.

Tied in size 10 to 20 you will find

the colors of Tan, Gray, and or

Black.  They floated high and

worked best when twitched, then dead-drifted.  These flies are great for more than just trout; you can also fish them successfully for Smallmouths and Panfish as well.

With these 5 flies in verious colors and sizes in your fly box you will never be caught off gaurd again.
