Computer games cause brain damage
A study in Nihon University, measured the brain activity of 240 participants between the ages 9 to 29. Professor Akio Mori measured the beta waves and alpha waves produced by the brain. The beta waves indicate brain activity while the alpha waves indicate the brain's resting period. The prefrontal lobe is The subjects who rarely played video games were found to have higher amounts of beta waves than alpha waves. On the other hand, subject who play video games 2 to 7 hours a day were found to have zero amount of beta waves. Video gamers surprisingly showed zero beta waves even when they were not playing video games! The video gamers, with little to no amount of beta waves, are reported to be easily frustrated, have difficulty in concentrating and have trouble in socializing. People who engage in a lot of visual stimulus such as television are also found to have similar symptoms to those who play a lot of video games.
