hen you approach two
people talking, you will be
acknowledged in one of
two ways.
If the feet of the two
people stay in place and
they twist only their upper
torsos in your direction,
they don’t really want you
to join them. But if their
feet open to include you,
then you know that you are truly invited to participate.
Where someone’s feet are pointing, so is their interest. Have
a sneaky look down. If the feet are pointing at you, bravo! If
they’re angling away, they are either in a hurry or want to be
somewhere else. No problem. Just find someone else to speak
with!
