Mindfulness is two things:
• Living in the present tense, not
past or future.
• And, once you are in that
moment, putting your complete
awareness on only that one thing
you are doing.
The present is important because
it is the only tense that is true.
Our past is a recollection of
subjective memories and our future, we don’t know what will
happen. The only thing we know is this moment, the present.
Being mindful is about whatever you are doing, the laundry,
eating, walking, singing, you are in that moment and aware.
Yoga is a great way to practice mindfulness. You can’t be in a
standing pose without toppling over if you let you thoughts
distract you.

Many people like the book ‘The Power of Now’ to help illustrate the
power of being in the present.
If you get through it, let me know. I have been trying to finish it for a
few years now.
