eople can use proximity in two
different ways to tell if someone is
flirting with them.
Proximity is how far away we are
standing from someone.

From a distance, if the person with
whom you are exchanging looks has
moved to a location that is nearer to
you, it is a good sign that the person is
interested in you. After all, making
eyes from across the room can only get you so far. At some
point someone must move! Now that you are an experienced
Flirtathlete, you can use the openers that we discussed in last
week’s module.
If you are physically closer to someone and engaged in
conversation, take a moment to notice if that person is
standing nearer to you than necessary. If they are, it’s a good
sign that they are interested in you. But remember, personal
space is a very individual concept.
One London female told me, ‘They invade your personal space;
you either mind or you don’t’.
What she meant by this is that if you are equally interested in
someone, you don’t mind them having a closer proximity to
you.
