Do films really influence people as they Claim to do so? ‘ Movies don’t judge you , they just lure you into it’s World and comforts you’ Movies offer us an escape. Movies inspire us. Movies reach out to our imaginations in ways which could change your view point about everything. Though it is not THE most important thing in the World, it has certainly exceeded expectations and proven from time and time again that it is not a mere leisure activity. A good film does more than entertain or fill seats at the cinema. It has the power to change hearts and minds – and sometimes society more widely. Movies are one of the most fundamental things that shape the future because we tend to be like stars and search for inspiration which has been proved successful. For example, movies like Rosetta, FLICK 2018 PAGE 26 Blackfish and Trevor have been hugely influential, raising awareness and bringing about change in areas from climate change to gay rights. Movies influence The World in almost every aspect. Most of us have been raised by our parents to not watch violent and aggressive content as it induces us to try the same but when you watch the right content it changes your view point towards things, it can possibly shape the child’s character and social behaviour. It teaches us of how to behave around people and women and how to be kind to one and other. Movies such as Memento mould our thoughts and helps us think rationally.
