COVER STORY: FROM NEW YORK TO MEXICO
Her healing began with silence: a 2.5-year break from social media and a step back from leadership roles. Yet even after such a pause, burnout resurfaced quickly after moving to Mexico. That is when Adrienne realized burnout was not circumstantial, it was cumulative.
Years of operating in survival mode had trained her nervous system to remain constantly“ on.” Rest felt foreign. Slowing down felt unfamiliar. Even in moments of stillness, her mind continued racing toward the next responsibility, the next obligation, the next problem to solve. For years, exhaustion had been normalized and overworking had been praised as leadership. It took distance, silence, and intentional recalibration for her to realize how disconnected she had become from herself.

Out of that healing emerged Flexzone Life, though not by design.“ When I started on this journey, it was for no one else but me,” she recalls.
She first studied breathwork for her own practice, not wanting to rely on others to guide her. Stretch and flexibility came after an injury in 2023, nutrition arose from gut issues, and wellness coaching grew from wanting to support her family. None of it was planned as a business.“ I was still recovering from burnout. The last thing I ever saw myself doing was
