shoulders. If I pump my shoulders too much, they over emphasise this imbalance. In contrast, by leaving my shoulders and pumping up my chest – they can almost start to look on par with each other.
On the other hand, if you’ ve got a great chest that just hangs off of your clavicles, but you have weak arms – don’ t waste time pumping the chest. Instead, try and get as much blood and volume as you can through the biceps and triceps.

Will the above protocols work for everyone, every time? No. They require adjustments and aren’ t set in stone. But, following the principles above shouldn’ t see you screw up all of your hard work!
Two final bits of advice: 1) If you have the chance, run a mock‘ peak’ 2-3 weeks out from the show 2) If you don’ t understand how a mechanism works, or why you’ re doing it – just leave it and keep things simple.
