GLMS PARTNERS WITH NEW CAREER
CENTER TO FIND HEALTH CARE WORKERS
A recent report from KentuckianaWorks indicated that Louisville
needs an additional 3,700 health care workers. To combat this,
the Kentucky Health Career Center opened Friday, January 15, as
a resource for health care employers and job candidates to more
easily connect.
GLMS is collaborating with the Kentucky Health Career Center and
Ludmilla Plenty, GLMS Director of Employment Services, serves
on the Center’s board and has helped select the site of the center.
“Our goal is to increase the number of people entering health
care, providing education about the industry and providing
financial assistance to those who are wanting to obtain a degree
or certification in the industry,” Plenty explained, mentioning that
the center will also help with resume writing and interview skills.
