hall regarding 2015 state laws and regulations, their effects on member practices and
GLMS legislative priorities for 2016. The event
will take place this fall.

The Healing Place has yet to break ground
for the new men’s campus due to financing
delays. However, the organization is working towards a fall 2015 start date. The Healing Place board also recently authorized a
self-pay program which will begin in spring
2016. This is a shorter term program which
will generate revenue and not rely as heavily
on public or government money.
•
The GLMS Board welcomed new GLMS Alliance President Karen Sonnier, wife of Dr.
George Sonnier. Sonnier noted that she and
the executive committee were working on the
GLMSA schedule for the year and would be
sending out membership dues statements
soon.
