KUDOS TO MEMBERS
Salvatore Bertolone, Jr, MD, received
the third annual Marc A. Lehmann
Spirit of Service Award. This award
recognizes Louisville-area physicians
in hematology & oncology and is presented in memory of Marc A. Lehmann,
a Louisville native and UofL student
who succumbed to acute myeloid leukemia in 2012.
Morris Weiss, MD, was honored with
the Ephraim McDowell Physician of the
Year award at the 2015 Doctors’ Ball.
Manuel Grimaldi, MD, was honored
with a 2015 WLKY Bell Award. This
award, given by the WLKY Spirit of
Louisville Foundation, recognizes individuals who demonstrate the true
“Spirit of Louisville” through selfless
volunteer efforts and inspires others
to engage in community service.
Honorary Member Lelan K. Woodmansee, CAE, was honored with the
Distinguished Lifetime Achievement
award at the 2015 Doctors’ Ball and
the 2015 AMA Lifetime Achievement
Award in Atlanta.
Associate Member Eugene Shively,
MD, was honored with the Compassionate Physician award at the 2015
Doctors’ Ball.
Jesse Wright, MD, received the Excellence in Mental Health award at the
2015 Doctors’ Ball.
