ECUADOR MISSION
TRIP IN NEED OF
PHYSICIAN
The University of Louisville, in collaboration with Timmy Global
Health in Indianapolis, has scheduled a medical mission trip to
Ecuador which will take place from May 31 to June 13, 2015.
The mission will feature more than a dozen medical students and
physicians looking to make a difference in the underprivileged
region through sustained medical care. However, the mission
group is looking for an additional physician or two who is passionate about helping abroad. For more information, contact
Mission Representative Taylor Forns at [email protected].
MED SCHOOL SENIORS
MEET THEIR MATCH
Senior UofL medical students discovered their residency locations
at Match Day 2015 which took
place at The Old Medical School
Building on Friday, March 20.
Across the country, students simultaneously opened their letters of
residency excited to take the next
steps in becoming a physician.
While most of Louisville’s 145 graduating students jumped for joy and
congratulated their peers, there
were a few sad faces in the crowd
as well. Hugs and encouragement
were everywhere though, and UofL
students now prepare to be sent
across the country to enter the
world of professional health care.

Andrea Breaux, winner of the 2014 GLMS Foundation Golf Outing
Scholarship, was matched with her first option which was to stay
right here in Louisville with a focus on ophthalmology. “I got my
number one choice. This is exactly what I was hoping for,” said
Breaux.
Congratulations to all the graduating UofL med students and good
luck in your residencies!
