A Resource That Continues to Grow
What began as a pilot program has evolved into one of AfMA ' s most successful personal development initiatives.
Since the launch of the inaugural Personal Development Series in 2022, the program has delivered more than 35 webinars covering topics ranging from emotional intelligence and leadership to productivity, communication, mentoring, wellbeing and change management.
Across the first six series, the program has attracted more than 5,500 registrations, with over 3,100 participants attending live sessions from almost 1,900 organisations.
Despite being delivered free of charge, the series has consistently achieved exceptional levels of engagement and participant satisfaction, with an average approval rating of 95 per cent across all sessions.
2026: The year for navigating uncertainty, pressure and change
The 2026 Personal Development Series is centred on Emotional Intelligence in Action: Thriving in Dynamic and Demanding Environments.
Designed to help individuals navigate uncertainty, pressure and change, the series explores how emotional intelligence, self-awareness and resilience influence performance, decisionmaking, and wellbeing.
The year began with Thriving Through Uncertainty: Building Mental Agility, where Jane Wundersitz shared practical strategies for developing adaptability and maintaining perspective in challenging environments.
This was followed by Leading Well Under Pressure Through Awareness and Regulation, which examined how self-awareness and emotional regulation can strengthen leadership, communication and decision-making under pressure.
Together, these sessions have provided participants with practical tools to better manage change, build resilience and lead with greater confidence and effectiveness.
The remainder of the 2026 Personal Development Series continues to explore the skills and mindsets that help individuals remain effective, resilient, and engaged in an increasingly complex world.
