VinFast opened another plant in June 2025 in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ha Tinh City. The Ha Tinh is smaller, spanning 360,000 square metres with an additional 240,000 square metre auxiliary cluster. It is VinFast’ s second local facility and fifth overall, including plants in India, Indonesia, and the US.
Its location is strategic as the company intended for local suppliers to be within the plant’ s vicinity in the Vung Ang Economic Zone. According to online publication Electrive, VinFast aims to have its vehicles made of 80 per cent local parts by 2026.
The Ha Tinh plant has an hourly production capacity of 35 vehicles and annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles. It is currently producing VinFast’ s VF3, Minio Green, and EC Van units alongside newer, unannounced models.
