The Rolls Royce Ghost prototype was so quiet that engineers had to add artificial sounds.
When the British carmaker conducted a test of their new Ghost model, test drivers found the vehicle too quiet, to the point of feeling disoriented. In fact, it was so quiet that the slightest noise like breathing stood out more than usual. Rolls-Royce ' s engineers then had to a“ soft whisper” amongst others to fill in the silence. Engineers readjusted features like seat frames to still make slight sounds that harmonise with the rest of the cabin.
Bird droppings will damage your car’ s paint!
Have you ever found splattered bird droplets on your car? Better clean it up— bird poop can damage your car’ s paint! Researchers at Autoglym found that bird droppings damage car paint in three phases; first, paint lacquer will expand and soften when exposed to heat. In the second phase, heat will dry the droppings and cause it to harden on the car’ s surface. Finally, if you leave the bird droppings on your car for too long, the third phase sets in. The hardened droppings will contract when outside temperature cools. The soft lacquer will meld itself around the dried droppings, causing light reflection to dull in that area.
